The air conditioning system comprises two main components: the indoor evaporator coil and the outdoor condenser. The scope mentioned below is included in the standard installation of a Daikin split AC:
- Installing the indoor unit on a wall and securing the outdoor unit at a suitable location
- Drilling a single hole in a brick wall (without core cutting) to establish a connection between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit
- Installing the interconnect copper pipe between the indoor and outdoor units (if supplied with the unit) and vacuum flushing the copper piping.
- Installing a drain pipe for water and connecting it to the indoor unit
- Connecting the indoor and outdoor units with single-core cable
- Sealing holes with white cement or POP
- Installing the outdoor unit with bracket
- Testing and commissioning
- Providing a demonstration of the product
During the installation day, a standard air conditioning installation service usually requires 4 to 8 hours for completion. The duration may vary based on factors such as the size of the existing system, weather conditions, site constraints, and accessibility.
The greater the exposure of your air conditioner to sunlight, the more strenuously it will need to operate, resulting in higher costs. Optimal placement involves installing it on a wall facing either north or south, while the least favourable locations are west or east-facing walls.

Typically, well-maintained air conditioning units can last 10 to 15 years. Make us your servicing team, and we will advise you accordingly on the frequency of air cond maintenance based on your usage to ensure the long-term longevity of your unit.
On a Concrete Pad (Rare Practice): The outdoor condenser of your air conditioning system needs to be positioned on a concrete pad. The pad’s dimensions should be sufficient for all four legs of the unit to be entirely supported. Additionally, the pad should be even. If the condenser is not level, it may experience vibration, shaking, and wobbling during each cooling cycle.
On a Bracket (Main Practice): The outdoor condenser shall be positioned within the bracket frame, and the bracket shall be fixed and installed correctly. The rest will be the same as installing on a concrete pad.
Improperly installed air conditioning units may fail to filter incoming air effectively, allowing various allergens to enter your home and potentially triggering severe allergic reactions and asthma attacks. The fire risk is also heightened with incorrectly installed AC units, often due to overloaded electrical circuits.
